Leg Waxing
For waxing legs, hairs should be a least 1/8" long before you begin
waxing. There are hot and cold waxes offered by many manufacturers. Hot
waxes can be heated in the microwave and are applied in a thin layer in
the direction of hair growth. As the wax cools and hardens, hair
becomes trapped. A cloth is then place over the wax and it is pulled
off quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth. As you can
imagine this may produce some discomfort.
Cold waxes
work similarly to hot waxes. You use strips pre-coated with wax and are
pressed into the skin. They are then rapidly removed in the opposite
direction of hair growth.
This is just an overview of
waxing. The product you buy will have specific directions for its use.
Some also come with pain reducing gels and skin healing creams.
