Hot Wax Hair Removal
Wax is heated on a warmer until melted (not too hot), then a thin layer
of heated wax is applied to the skin in the direction of the hair
growth. The hair becomes embedded in the wax as it cools and hardens.
The wax is then pulled off quickly in the opposite direction of the
hair growth, taking the uprooted hair with it. The area will be red and
sensitive for a few hours. Good hot waxes melt just above body
temperature so they can be easily spread thinly over the skin. As they
harden they trap the hair in the wax so it is removed by the roots when
the wax is ripped off.
